Below is an excerpt from my actual conversation with Evan after school:
Mom: Ev, what did you talk about at school today?
Evan: We talked about Mardi Gras.
Mom: Cool. What is Mardi Gras?
Evan: He's a guy who speaks French.
Mom: Really? Why did you make a mask for Mardi Gras?
Evan: Because Mardi Gras wears a mask sometimes.
Mom: What else did you learn?
Evan: Mardi Gras likes to eat alot on Fat Tuesday!
I don't know about Mardi Gras, but I know that I like to eat alot of Fat Tuesday, too! Just had to share!

Gotta love the perspective of a 4-year-old. Good thing you didn't ask him about all the beads in New Orleans. I would have LOVED to hear his theory on that.
